In this training class, students will learn history and contraindications. The student will know the benefits for both the client and the therapist. Also, the students will learn how to care for the Bamboossage® toolsets. Then each show skill in the anterior and posterior Bamboo Massage routine. As part of the class, there will be a multiple choice test. We award certification in course, once the student completes the evaluation form.
Bamboossage® is a technique that incorporates bamboo and rattan. The sticks are of various lengths and diameters to provide deep-tissue work. We use heating pads to warm the Bamboossage ® toolsets. And then the student will apply warm tools to massage the contours of the body. Warm Bamboo massage is useful for both Swedish and deep tissue massage. Yes, you can exercise intense pressure without hurting yourself.
In fact, the tools do Trigger Point activation quite well. The heated Bamboossage tools promote circulation, sensory nerve perception, and lymphatic drainage. And it also provides a significant sense of relaxation and well-being.
Of course, we like to keep our time-honored tradition of hand-saving workshops. So this modality will give your hands and wrists a rest! The Bamboossage tool sets are easy to heat. And even easier to clean. We use antibacterial wipes, like WetOnes to clean each tool. We also use soap and water to remove all the oil. But be careful not to submerge the pieces in water. Please do not use household or hospital grade antibacterial wipes. These wipes will damage the finish.
What you’ll need to bring to class: one set of sheets for the table, including a face cradle cover.
