August 19, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Sunday, repeating until September 2, 2018
The French Creek Valley Railroad Historical Society has tours of the Erie Lackawanna caboose at the railroad display site in Pomona Park, Meadville, PA on Sundays until Labor Day weekend. Hours are 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, donations are much appreciated.
Merchandise is available for purchase and membership applications are also available. Visitors can also look at the outside of our Erie RR ALCO S2 switcher and the Bessemer & Lake Erie wood boxcar that was built in 1908, the restoration of which is nearly complete. We also have an operating signal that stands guard over the display. We don’t have the former Lackawanna snowplow on display yet, but we can tell you all about it. We do ask, for your own safety, to not climb on the boxcar, locomotive or the signal.
We are a non-profit organization that is compliant with IRS section 501(c)(3). All donations are tax exempt.
