The Crawford County Suicide Prevention Task Force, Human Trafficking Task Force, System of Care, and Overdose Prevention Coalition are sponsoring an inspirational public presentation by Tonier Cain-Muldrow to promote a trauma-informed community.
Ms. Cain-Muldrow will share her story of trauma to help others build hope and resilience. After surviving a childhood of unspeakable sexual abuse, unrelenting violence, and betrayal by systems that were charged with helping, Ms. Tonier Cain stands before her audiences today, a testimony to the resiliency of the human spirit exemplifying the innate human instinct to survive. Her experience illustrates the consequences that untreated trauma has on individuals and society at-large, including mental health problems, addiction, homelessness, and incarceration.
Please join us on February 21st from 5-8 pm at the Meadville Italian Civic Club. The event is free and light refreshments are provided. Registration runs from 5:00 to 5:30 pm. No other prior registration is needed. We will continue to try to Spread Seeds of Hope for our most trauma-affected residents.
