Vox, a nationally renowned group is heading to Meadville this spring courtesy of the Baldwin-Reynolds House Museum.
VOX, which was featured recently on “America’s Got Talent,” will be at Allegheny College’s Ford Chapel on May 17 at 7 p.m.
“The museum is thrilled to bring VOX to Meadville,” said Joshua Sherretts, Baldwin-Reynolds House Museum director and Historical Society president. “We’re excited to be able to enrich and entertain our community with the best of culture and the arts — this year working with Greg and his amazing crew at Bush Investment Group to do so!”
Sometimes known as “Opera’s Boy Band,” the group became instantly popular after their run on “America’s Got Talent,” first filling living rooms and now concert halls with musical theater classics, their own twists on chart-topping hits and timeless selections of opera that everyone will recognize.
Following their debut on TV show, VOX became an overnight sensation. In the recent months, the group has garnered more than 1.5 million YouTube views, 500 Twitter followers, 2,500 Facebook fans and has given multiple concerts nationwide.
Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased online at www.baldwinreynolds.org or by calling the Crawford County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau at 333-1258.
The Baldwin-Reynolds House Museum, owned and operated by the Crawford County Historical Society, was the one-time home of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Henry Baldwin and serves as the Society’s museum and largest programming arm.
They have hosted several major programs since their 200th birthday in 2013, transforming themselves from a small-town museum to a hub of arts and culture in northwestern Pennsylvania. The museum has welcomed lectures, concerts, Antiques Roadshow appraisers, and other performances during that time, following the model of the Chautauqua Institution. Public television satirist Mark Russell has performed twice since 2013, most recently in April 2016. Ernest Hemingway’s personal secretary and daughter-in-law, Valerie Hemingway, has also given a lecture.
The concert is also sponsored by Luminous Water Solutions, Wesbury Retirement Community, Kuhn Tool and Die, Key Bank, Sam and Barb Spencer, and Optical Filters. Other sponsorship opportunities available.
